"Blackout" is the vision of the world up against the war. The heroine of the line is an independent, powerful woman who revolts against violence. She can be simultaneously a diva and a warrior, a rebel and a sexy woman. The line is full of contrasts - austere, close-fitting, minimalist cuts set against military and punk style.
The line includes close-fitting turtlenecks covered with XXL overcoats, loose sweaters and leather sweatshirts, knitted dresses and large maxi dresses. Some models are ornamented with wings and feathers hand-painted by a Polish artist. This is what symbolizes emancipation, independence, and strength for the designer of the brand. Oppressing news announced everyday by the media were the inspiration for creating the line. Wars, struggle for money and territories are the reality that deeply affects women's nature.
Colors of the fall/winter line includes classic shades of gray, black, white, emerald, and neon yellow that adds futuristic character to the line. To create the Blackout, the designer used many different fabrics such as: eco leather, thick wool, knitwear, and chiffons peculiar for the brand. The line is complemented with the series of military necklaces (so-called dog tags) and large, soft clutch purses made of eco leather.
Blackout was Charlotte Rouge's debut on the Designer's Boulevard at the Fashion Week Poland in 2013.
